Nigerian artiste Bella Shmurda has joined the call for the release of the remains of his late friend, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, News About Nigeria reports.

Expressing his concern on his X account on Saturday, Bella Shmurda appealed to the police to expedite the release of Mohbad’s body, which has been held for autopsy for over two months.

In his plea, Bella Shmurda emphasised the need for a dignified burial for Mohbad and urged the police to provide the autopsy results promptly.

He wrote, “It’s been over 2 months since Moh died and his body was taken in for autopsy but yet no result, which is fine but please release his body. That boy needs a befitting burial and to go to rest. Finally, Naija Police, what’s going on? We need an answer here: where is the result? Where is his body?”

This appeal follows a similar demand from Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, who, in an Instagram post on Friday night, expressed frustration over the police’s delay in completing the investigation into Mohbad’s death.

Dikeh urged the police to expedite the process and ensure justice prevails, emphasising that she has invested emotions, time, and love in the case and wants to see justice served.

“Give us Mohbad for a befitting burial. We are tired of your carelessness and slowness. If no one speaks, I will. I have invested too much of my emotions, time, and love to see this Justice go through. Honestly, we have given you all more time than necessary. This is not the case to be swept under. We want Justice.”

The delay in releasing the body and providing autopsy results has raised concerns among friends, family, and supporters of the late singer, with both Bella Shmurda and Tonto Dikeh calling for transparency and a swift resolution to the case.

Mohbad died on September 12 under questionable circumstances, with videos of the singer being bullied and assaulted resurfacing after his demise.
