Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido is celebrating three Grammy nominations for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards, marking a significant milestone in his career.
News About Nigeria gathered that the nominations include a nod for Best Global Album for his latest studio album, ‘Timeless’.
The announcement of the 66th Grammy Award nominees was made on Friday evening, and Davido’s name featured prominently in multiple categories.
Alongside the prestigious Best Global Album nomination, he also secured nominations for Best African Performance with his track ‘Unavailable’ and Best Global Music Performance for the song ‘Feel’.
Notably, the latter category pits him against fellow Nigerian artiste Burna Boy, who received a nomination for ‘Alone’.
This triple Grammy nomination marks a first for Davido, and the artiste expressed his excitement on social media.

Davido is not the only Nigerian artist recognised by the Grammys this year. Burna Boy, Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr also received nominations. They will compete in the Best African Music Performance category.
The nominated works in this category are: ‘Amapiano’ by ASAKE & Olamide, ‘City Boys’ by Burna Boy, ‘UNAVAILABLE’ by Davido feat. Musa Keys, ‘Rush’ by Ayra Starr and ‘Water’ by Tyla.
