Nigerian singer Abiola Akinbiyi Ahmed, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has expressed his determination to take care of the son of his late friend, Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, News About Nigeria reports.
In a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram story, Bella Shmurda revealed that he had been struggling to cope with the loss of Mohbad, turning to alcohol as a means of solace.
The ‘My Friend’ singer conveyed his deep sorrow, mentioning that he hadn’t felt happy for days.
He expressed remorse that Mohbad’s son, Liam Abiola Imole, would grow up without knowing his father.
However, Bella Shmurda vowed to ensure that Liam would hear his father’s story and promised to look after him.
“You told me to stop it [mourning]. [I] have been trying. I just hope you’re okay where you are, cos [I] have not been happy for days. [I] have been drinking and going back and forth on how to move on.
“It’s sad [that] Abiola Imole never get to know you. But be rest assured [that] I will tell your story. And I will definitely take care of our fruit [son]. I’m passing all the love to our sons.

Days after Mohbad’s passing, Bella Shmurda took to social media to call for unity among different cult affiliations to seek justice for Mohbad.
He urged the identification and legal action against Mohbad’s killers, emphasising that it’s time for everyone to come together and ensure justice for their late friend.
He asked that Mohbad’s killers be fished out legally or illegally.
