Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has responded to Naira Marley’s denial of involvement in the death of fellow singer Mohbad.
News About Nigeria reported that Naira Marley had been accused of playing a role in the tragic passing of Mohbad.
In a lengthy Instagram post shared by Naira Marley on September 26, he categorically stated that he had no hand or any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
He emphasised that Mohbad was like a brother to him and a member of their music family.
Naira Marley explained that misunderstandings are not uncommon in the music industry and that they had been in the process of legally resolving any disputes before Mohbad’s unfortunate demise.
Naira Marley also mentioned that he had refrained from making public statements to avoid interfering with the government’s ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
He disclosed that he had been out of the country since August 31, 2023, but was actively making arrangements to return to Nigeria to cooperate with the authorities. Additionally, he vehemently denied any involvement in criminal activities, stating that he is not a drug lord or a cultist.
However, in a tweet via his verified X page, Bella Shmurda who was a close associate to the late singer insisted that Naira Marley reported himself to the police.
In a tweet, he wrote, “Sha lo report Ara eh!!!”
He later added in another tweet, “We get skincare product for u, original one.”
