British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly restructuring his bid to purchase Manchester United, News About Nigeria reports.

Ratcliffe is aiming to revive the potential takeover of the Premier League giants from the Glazers family. Talks in the long-running takeover saga have stalled recently, leading to frustration among United supporters due to delays in proceedings despite multiple bids on the table.

Ratcliffe, the head of Ineos, is hoping to break the deadlock and is currently collaborating with his advisors to address concerns raised about his offer.

His previous proposal, made earlier this year, aimed to acquire 69 per cent of the Glazer family’s shares in Manchester United.

While a Qatari bid, led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, is still being considered by the club, Ratcliffe believes his new bid we make things work in his.

Sheikh Jassim’s group aims to buy the club outright, ending the Glazers’ reign at Old Trafford, potentially making it one of the largest sports team deals in history.

A key difference in Ratcliffe’s previous offer, when compared with that of Sheikh Jassim, is that it could allow certain members of the Glazer family to retain some level of investment in Manchester United.

This aspect of the proposal is what is missing in the Qatari bid billionaire bid, but however,  has raised concerns among the club’s fans who think the American family will still have some level of control over the club.

United fans have criticized the Glazers family for their handling of things at Old Trafford and have on different occasions, staged protests for them to relinquish ownership.
