EPL: Jadon Sancho Deactivates Instagram Account

Exiled Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, has apparently, deactivated his Instagram account as he continues to train separately from the first team, News About Nigeria checked.

This development comes in the wake of a recent controversy between Sancho, Erik ten Hag, and the management of Manchester United.

At the time, Sancho’s absence from the squad for the match against Arsenal was explained by Ten Hag, who cited concerns about the player’s training performance.

In response, Sancho took to his social media in a now-deleted post, expressing his frustration and feeling that he had been unfairly made a scapegoat at the club.

Consequently, the 23-year-old has been barred from accessing the first-team facilities at United’s Carrington training ground and is currently training with the academy squad.

To make matters more complicated, on Tuesday, Sancho’s Instagram account appeared deactivated.

Attempts to access his page led to a message stating, “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.” The Instagram app displayed a blank page with all 32 of Sancho’s posts missing.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Manchester United will continue to require Sancho to train separately from the first team unless he offers an apology to Ten Hag.

Some of Sancho’s teammates, including Marcus Rashford, have reportedly encouraged him to apologize to the manager.

Former Manchester United defender John O’Shea voiced his belief that an apology would be the right course of action during an appearance on talkSPORT.

Sancho, who joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, is currently in his third season with the club.

However, he has made just three appearances for the club in the current season, with his last outing being in the 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United will today (Tuesday), face Crystal Palace at home in the Carabao Cup.
