Fani-Kayode Urges Nigerians To Keep Faith In God Amidst Hardship

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode, has slammed Pastor Tunde Bakare over the recent comments the clergyman made regarding the death of the afrobeat singer, Mohbad.

Slamming the pastor in a tweet on Monday, Mr Fani-Kayode who posted a picture of the clergy with the deceased singer asked if efforts should not be made to find out the killer of Mohbad regardless if he was good or bad.

“Whether the unfortunate young man known as Mohbad was good or bad & whether he associated with evil men or not he surely did not deserve to be murdered. Assuming he was murdered, rather than judge him shouldn’t we be trying to find out who killed him?” Mr Fani-Kayode asked.
News About Nigeria recalls that Pastor Tunde Bakare had earlier faulted the lifestyle of the singer.
Pastor Tunde Bakare, the General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, has stated that the late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, well known as Mohbad, pitched his tent among evil people during his time.

The pastor claimed that Mohbad was too busy “drinking and smoking” and “reaped the reward of his unpleasant lifestyle while alive” to realise that his time on earth would be short.

These were mentioned by Bakare on Sunday while he was speaking at the church The Envoy Nation’s second anniversary, which is situated in the UK.

However many Nigerians have continued to criticize the clergyman for speaking ill of the dead singer.

Mohbad reportedly died earlier this month after he visited a clinic. However, the cause of the singer’s death remains sketchy as Nigerians continue to demand that those who had a hand in the singer’s death be brought to book.

Already the police have conducted an autopsy on the remains of the singer to ascertain the cause of his death.
