Mohbad: Youths Demand Justice, Protest Singer’s Death In Abeokuta, Delta (VIDEO)

Protests demanding justice for the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, have erupted in different parts of Nigeria. 

The artiste’s untimely death on September 12, 2023, under mysterious circumstances has sparked outrage and calls for a thorough investigation.

News About Nigeria gathered that in Abeokuta, Ogun State, youths from the Panseke area took to the streets to voice their demands.

Gathering at the skating ground arena, the protesters donned black attire and carried placards bearing slogans such as ‘#JusticeForMohbad’ and ‘#WhoOffLight’, among others.

They passionately called for justice to be served in the case of the deceased musician.

Similarly, youth activists in Effurun Roundabout, Delta State, convened a demonstration on Monday, demanding justice for Mohbad.

In a viral video, the young demonstrators marched with placards and chanted slogans, including ‘Say no to Marlian music, we need justice’.

The protesters emphasised their determination to seek justice for the late artiste and called for a comprehensive investigation into his death.

In response to the overwhelming support and solidarity from fans and communities worldwide, the management of Mohbad announced plans for a candlelight procession and tribute night in honour of the departed artiste.

The tribute event aims to celebrate Mohbad’s life and contributions to the music industry, providing fans with an opportunity to pay their respects.

Taking to the social media handles of the late singer on Monday night, the management “appreciate the outpouring of love from Fans across the world to the ones who’ve organised events in their communities as a way to honour and pay respect to our shining light we say thank you. Join us for Mohbad’s candlelight procession and tribute concert.”

The candlelight procession will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, by 5 pm at Lekki Phase 1 Gate while the Tribute Concert starts 8pm at Muri Okunola Park, Lagos State.
