Atiku Slams APC's Economic Policies, Congratulates Dangote

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party at the 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress to desist from using security agencies to intimidate his supporters.

His comment comes just as Danie Bwala, one of his aides, alleged plots by the ruling party to employ the services of the Department of States Services  (DSS) to arrest and indict him.

News About Nigeria had earlier reported that Mr Bwala alleged that the presidency was planning to arrest and silence him.

Bwala, who said this in a post on his official X account, revealed that he got the information from a credible source that they are planning to use security agencies and also build up series of allegations against him that he won’t be able to escape.

However, calling on the ruling APC to desist from intimidating his supporters, Atiku in a statement on his official Twitter handle wrote:
“The ruling APC must refrain from any attempts to use our security agencies to harass or illegally detain any member or voice of the political opposition – and this call is not here limited to only members of my political party, but indeed all opposition voices including the many individuals across the internet who speak up only to seek a better country.”
The PDP presidential candidate lamented that the recent revelations suggesting potential suppression of voices and trumped-up allegations against opposition figures are deeply troubling.
Atiku also urged Nigerians not to lose their voices and to never be intimidated while expressing their views.
