Position: Article Writer/Journalist
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research on various topics related to Nigeria, including politics, culture, business, health, and more. Write well-researched news articles, features, and opinion pieces.
- News Gathering: Stay updated with the latest developments in Nigeria and follow breaking news stories. Cover events, interviews, and press conferences when necessary.
- Content Creation: Write compelling, clear, and engaging articles that inform and engage our readers. Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit your work for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and style. Ensure all content meets our quality standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas, plan content, and contribute to our editorial calendar.
- Multimedia Integration: Incorporate multimedia elements, such as images, videos, and infographics, into articles when relevant.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in journalism, article writing, or a related field.
- Excellent research skills and a passion for staying informed about Nigerian current affairs.
- Strong writing and editing abilities with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with AP or similar style guides.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of SEO and social media best practices is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
