Tinubu To Provide Secure Maritime Environment

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has lauded President Bola Tinubu over his inclusive style of governance, describing it as a welcome approach.

Eno said this when he received the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh who was on a familiarisation tour of the region.

News About Nigeria reports that Eno added that the President has demonstrated exemplary governance beyond party

He also urged the Minister to embrace greater collaborations between the Ministry of Niger Development and states in the region, assuring the readiness of his administration to embrace such partnership for positive growth development in the region.

“I feel very happy that you really want to see for yourself the situation of our states, the people you are going to work with, get to meet the governors, look beyond politics and think how to develop our various states in partnership with the governors.

“I thank the approach of the President for his inclusivity in governance. And it is a very welcomed approach that this President is working with people across party lines. You can see his appointment, there are people of other parties there,” he commended.

The Governor, however, lamented the little to no federal presence in Akwa Ibom despite their enormous contributions to the nation’s revenue base.

He, therefore, advocated for regular meetings with the Ministry noting that it would aid development, not just in Akwa Ibom but also in other states of the region.

According to him, that is essentially the responsibility of the Ministry.
