International superstar Rihanna and her rapper partner, A$AP Rocky, have officially revealed the name of their newborn son, who arrived a month ago, News About Nigeria reports.
The birth certificate, exclusively obtained by The Blast, confirms that the couple’s second child has been named ‘Riot Rose Mayers’.
Baby Riot made his grand entrance into the world on August 1, becoming a joyful addition to the family.
He appears to be following in the footsteps of his older brother, whose equally uncommon name also starts with ‘R’.
He joins the couple’s older son, 15-month-old RZA Athelston Mayers, in the growing Mayers clan.
Rihanna, the iconic ‘Umbrella’ singer, announced her second pregnancy during her spectacular Super Bowl halftime performance earlier this year.
During the performance, she wore a red jumpsuit that revealed her blossoming baby bump.
Reflecting on her decision to perform while pregnant, Rihanna humorously quipped in an interview with Vogue, “What the heck [was] I thinking?”
In early August, Rihanna also shared a maternity capsule collection through her Savage x Fenty brand, tailored for both ‘moms and moms-to-be’.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, born Rakim Athelaston Mayers, started their romantic journey in 2020, building on their professional connection that dates back to as early as 2013.
Weeks after their first son’s birth, the Diamonds singer and ASAP Rocky revealed that they named their son RZA Athelston Mayers – a homage to the Wu-Tang rapper RZA.
