Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the club will be without six of their players ahead of their opening Premier League encounter against Liverpool, News About Nigeria gathered.

While the league starts tonight (Friday), the Blues have been dubbed to be dealing with the unavailability of several key players, ahead of the much talked about clash.

The list includes Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, and Christopher Nkunku.

While both teams are aiming for a strong start to the season following disappointing performances in the previous campaign, Chelsea will need to find ways to cope with the absence of these players.

The Premier League opener is a significant fixture, and Chelsea will be challenged to secure a positive outcome against a formidable opponent like Liverpool without the full complement of their squad.

Additionally, Moises Caicedo will not feature in either side for this match, as his transfer to either Chelsea or Liverpool has not been finalized in time for him to participate.

Amid the ongoing transfer saga against Liverpool, he said in his press conference on Friday, that he does not talks about players that are not on his team.

“I think you know me very well, I never talk about players that don’t belong to us, I am so respectful.

“We are working really hard to try to add more players to the squad, add quality. Of course, if we have an update for you, the club will do.

“But at the moment, I don’t want to talk about players that don’t belong to us, that is really important to me, very respectful with the clubs and the player” Pochettino added.
