Tyson Fury has revealed that he might consider retiring from boxing following his upcoming crossover fight against UFC champion Francis Ngannou, News About Nigeria reports.

The Brit is set for a unique challenge as he faces Ngannou on October 29 in Saudi Arabia, with the heavyweight title not at stake due to Ngannou’s status as an unranked contender by the WBC in boxing.

‘The Gypsy King’ previously retired twice, first in 2015 after winning the unified heavyweight titles against Wladimir Klitschko, and again in April last year after knocking out Dillian Whyte.

Now, he hints at a possible third retirement, saying, “Who knows how long I’ve got left. Maybe not long, maybe a year, maybe two years, maybe one fight, who knows.”

Fury expressed his desire to cherish every remaining moment in his boxing career and to have his children by his side during his fights.

He emphasized that every fighter knows when it’s time to walk away and stressed the importance of making the right decision for his life and family.

The British boxer’s journey has been marked by struggles, including a weight gain of nearly 400lb and battles with mental health issues.

However, he turned his life around, shedding the excess weight, and making a triumphant return to the sport in 2018. Since then, he has had notable fights, including a controversial draw with Deontay Wilder.

Fury’s history with retirement decisions has been unpredictable. On his 34th birthday last August, he declared that he was done with boxing but soon changed his mind to pursue an undisputed fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

However, the Usyk fight did not materialize, leading Fury to now face Ngannou while Usyk takes on Daniel Dubois.
