Senator Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker from Kaduna Central, paid respect to the army troops who died when terrorists tried to attack the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja.

Captain Samuel Attah, Lieutenant Colonel Suleiman, and other fallen officers were members of the 7 Brigade of Guards in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), News About Nigeria reports.

According to reports, the officers responded to an emergency call from the Law School in 2022 and were then shot and killed by terrorists.

On Wednesday morning, Sani urged Nigerians to take time to remember the bravery and selflessness of the deceased army officers.

Therefore, the former lawmaker prayed for their souls to find peace.

He said: “ONE YEAR REMEMBRANCE:
Captain Samuel Attah, Lt Col Suleiman, and others; These Officers and men of the 7 Brigade of Guards answered a distress call from the NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL Bwari, Abuja, and on their way back, they were ambushed by terrorists and killed.

“ONE YEAR AFTER: It’s exactly one year since terrorists ambushed Soldiers of the Brigade of Guards in Bwari, Abuja. A young officer, Lt. Col. Jauro Ibrahim Suleiman, and other gallant officers lost their lives. This is in memory and honor of those great souls who died in active duty. We Will forever continue to appreciate their sacrifice and martyrdom. I call on the FCT administration to immortalize them by naming some streets in Bwari after them. May their souls rest in peace. Amin.

“Spare your time to appreciate their courage and sacrifice. May their souls rest in peace. Amin.”
