Three individuals have been apprehended by the Ekiti State Police Command in relation to the kidnapping of Hon Paul Omotosho, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in the state, News About Nigeria has learned.
The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Sunday Abutu, announced this development on Thursday morning in a statement provided to journalists in Ado-Ekiti.
According to Abutu, the arrested suspects have provided valuable information that could lead to the capture of the main culprits who are currently on the run.
The statement further informed the public, particularly the residents of Ekiti State, that Omotosho and two others who were abducted by unknown criminals have been set free and reunited with their families.
This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Police, other law enforcement agencies, local security organizations, the victims’ families, and the Ekiti State government inclusive.
The Command expressed gratitude to the concerned members of the public for their support and unwavering assistance.
It also emphasized that the investigation into the kidnapping is ongoing, with three suspects already in custody providing valuable information to aid in the arrest of the main culprits who remain at large.

Omotosho was freed by his captors during the early hours of Thursday, after enduring five days of captivity. However, the specific details surrounding his release have not been disclosed at this time.
