PDP Holds Reconciliation Meeting In Enugu, Seeks Unity

The PDP governors are scheduled to convene on Tuesday to address the current situation in Nigeria, News About Nigeria reports.

Cyril Maduabum, the director-general of the PDP governors forum, released a statement on Monday announcing the meeting.

The main agenda items will be the state of the nation and the state of the party.

The meeting, which will be the first since the election of Bala Mohammed as the forum’s chairperson, will take place at the Akwa Ibom governor’s lodge in Abuja.

According to the statement, the forum aims to delve into recent developments in Nigeria, encompassing political, social, and economic aspects.

Additionally, the meeting will focus on evaluating the condition of the forum itself, as well as the PDP as a whole.

Furthermore, the role of PDP governors in stabilizing both the party and the nation will be thoroughly discussed.

Maduabum further elaborated that the newly appointed leadership of the forum might unveil their vision for unity and progress during the gathering.

With the PDP emerging as the primary opposition party, they managed to secure victories in 10 states during the previous governorship election.

Maduabum said by deliberating on the state of the nation, the PDP governors aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of the prevailing circumstances.

This entails examining the political climate, analyzing the social dynamics within the country, and assessing the state of the economy.

Simultaneously, the meeting will serve as an opportunity to evaluate the state of the forum itself and the role it plays within the PDP.
