Tottenham are set to reject Bayern Munich’s €80m bid for Harry Kane, News About Nigeria understands.
This is the second attempt by the Bundesliga side to sign Kane but will likely face another rebuff as sources close to the London club claim. “Tottenham are not intentioned to accept €80m fixed fee for Harry Kane.”
Spurs believe that the amount offered won’t be enough for the German champions to secure the signature of the 29-year-old England striker.
Recall that Bayern Munich had earlier failed with an opening offer of €70million (£60million) for Kane, plus add-ons, but have returned again with an improved offer to sign the England captain.
Thomas Tuchel the club’s manager is said to have made the player his priority to bolster his attack this summer, as they are yet to get a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski since he joined Barcelona.
However, the Chairman of the club, Daniel Levy has maintained his position of not selling the England captain this summer, with a proposed bid of keeping him for a longer term.
Kane will report for pre-season training with Spurs on Wednesday, where he will discuss with the club’s new manager Ange Postecoglu, before figuring out his next move.
The new manager Ange Postecoglu is planning face-to-face talks with the Tottenham talisman to share his vision for the club.
Meanwhile, Spurs are still hoping to convince him to stay, but with no European football on offer this season, they could have a hard time persuading him to commit to his long-term future, plus, he has been challenged to trade his skills in another league before retirement.
