Big Brother Naija Star, Phyna Faces N100 Million Lawsuit For Defamation Of Character

Phyna, the winner of the Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ edition, is facing a N100 million lawsuit for defamation of character from her colleague, ChiChi.

News About Nigeria confirms that the legal action comes after Phyna made a series of allegations against ChiChi during the recently concluded BBNaija Reunion show.

Phyna accused ChiChi of lying about her age and claimed that she is older than most of the BBN Season 7 housemates. She also alleged that ChiChi abandoned her children in Benin, resulting in the death of one of them.

Additionally, Phyna stated on Snapchat that ChiChi performed her liposuction for N3.5 million and allegedly poisoned her friend in Cyprus due to jealousy before returning to Nigeria.

In response to these accusations, ChiChi has filed a lawsuit, asserting that Phyna’s claims are false, slanderous, and detrimental to her reputation.

Through her solicitor, ChiChi has demanded a public apology from Phyna, compensation of N100 million, and a cease to further defamatory statements.

Meanwhile, Phyna has criticized the organizers of the show, Multichoice, for allegedly favoring ChiChi during the recent Reunion episode.

Phyna expressed her discontent with how the episode was edited, claiming that scenes of ChiChi insulting and body-shaming her were omitted.

She accused Multichoice of unfair treatment and selective editing, stating that ChiChi was given preferential treatment.

The legal battle between Phyna and ChiChi adds another layer of controversy to the BBNaija Reunion show. As the case unfolds, both parties will need to present evidence to support their claims, and the court will ultimately decide the outcome.
