Tottenham’s Harry Kane Unlikely to Move to Bayern Munich for £60m, Says Former Crystal Palace Owner

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has claimed that Tottenham owner Daniel Levy might not allow Harry Kane to move to Bayern Munich for £60m due to his exceptional quality, News About Nigeria reports.

The English businessman suggests that the German giants would need to improve their offer if they want to secure the services of Tottenham’s top striker, proposing a figure of £80m instead.

Jordan believes that Kane’s value is on par with the price Real Madrid paid for Eden Hazard when he moved from Chelsea.

However, he acknowledges that a £60m bid is not a bad starting point for the joint-third highest goal-scorer in the history of the English Premier League (EPL).

“I think there will come a point where if people are very keen to get Harry Hane and they want to price at the sort of levels that Eden Hazard was priced at during his last year at Chelsea, then those conversations may happen.

“I think £60m starts a conversation, because they’ve got a year to go, unless they’re going to get Harry to sign a new deal with them, which I doubt.

“I can’t see Daniel [Levy] letting this go to be a free transfer next year, so one of two things has to happen – he has to sell him or he has to get him to sign a new contract. I’m down the middle with it.

“But I think if Bayern Munich were to go up to £80m you’d really test the resolve of Daniel Levy.

Meanwhile, Simon Jordan also has doubts over whether Harry Kane will want to move to Germany at this stage of his career, especially with the Premier League all-time goal scoring record still in his sights.

“The fascinating part of this equation will be whether Harry Kane wants to play in Germany at this stage of his career,” the former Crystal Palace owner said.

“Does he want to uproot a young family and all that goes with that and go and play in Germany?

“It’s one thing going to play in Spain for Real Madrid and Barcelona, it’s another thing going to play in Germany for Bayern Munich.

“I don’t know, I’m not sure about it,” he added.
