A Nigerian businessman has stepped forward and made a generous offer to Chef Dammy, promising her a cash prize of N1 million if she immediately calls off her ongoing cookathon.

News About Nigeria gathered that the businessman’s proposal comes in response to the intense backlash that the chef has been facing since she began her cooking marathon in Oye, Ekiti state.

While the businessman expresses no objection to Chef Dammy’s decision to cook for an extended period, he believes that it is premature for her to undertake the challenge immediately after Hilda Baci’s recent record-breaking feat.

Hilda Baci recently completed a cooking marathon, setting a record of 100 hours, and the businessman suggests that it would have been more appropriate for Chef Dammy to wait until Hilda’s achievement is officially recognized by the Guinness World Records before commencing her own attempt.

@OhhhhMyJosh reacted: “Una wey get money too rude.”

@amudaDewale added: “Another clout chaser jumping on the trend. Sets a camera and pretends to work out lmao. Some things are just silly acts. Go rest.”

Chef Dammy, undeterred by the criticism and sleepless nights, remains resolute in her pursuit to surpass Hilda Baci’s record.

In a tweet from her official Twitter account, Damilola called upon the support and prayers of well-meaning Nigerians as the arduous task becomes increasingly challenging with each passing hour.

“Happy Sunday people, don’t forget to pray for Chef Dammy🙏,” the post on her page read.

The offer from the Nigerian businessman adds a new twist to the ongoing cookathon saga, attracting attention and generating further discussion among the public.

While some may see the offer as an attempt to discourage Chef Dammy from pursuing her goal, others may view it as a genuine concern for the appropriate recognition of records and achievements.
