In a recent development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confronted Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, over his allegations of bribery against the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
The governor, who is currently under investigation for alleged corruption, claimed during a BBC Hausa interview that Bawa had demanded a substantial bribe of two million dollars from him, News About Nigeria reports.
However, the EFCC swiftly dismissed the governor’s claims, asserting that he had provided no concrete evidence to support his allegations.
