Two-time Ultimate Fighting champion Israel Adesanya, has been threatened with a move by his ex-girlfriend, demanding an equal share of his total wealth, following their recent breakup, News About Nigeria understands.
The UFC middleweight champion might have hurt his former girlfriend Charlotte Powdrell after breaking up with her, following years of commitment to his career in the ring.
“Though they were never married but they dated for a very long time,” UFC fighter Sean O’Malley said during a podcast, where he expressed displeasure at the demands issued by Powdrell.
Malley during the programme noted that it is unfair for the young woman to demand half of what the Nigerian has worked for over the years.
“They are not married right they were never married I didn’t believe it she wants half of his s*t. I don’t know how their relationship was ever because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend, but to want half of his s*t to want half of what he’s gone out there and done is absolutely ridiculous.
“I mean it’s hard to say who knows maybe if they were together for 15 years since the beginning and she didn’t work because she was constantly making him food, massage and at the gym doing all this stuff for him, ” Malley added.
Adesanya has built quite a reputation for himself not only as an elite fighter in the kickboxing ring but also in business, where he is reported to have built an empire.
Thou nothing much is heard of the case for now, but it is rumored that Powdrell might face the brick wall in her case as she never got married to Adesanya or have a child with him.
But she is confident, building her case on the years she spent supporting him to become UFC Champion, as well as because they dated for a very long time.
