Dignitaries, including Chief (Mrs) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of the President-elect, Senator-elect Diket Plang representing Plateau Central Senatorial District, and Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim, the Deputy National Women Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), gathered at the Unity Fountain in Abuja to witness the 45th day of the Pre-inauguration Hangout.
News About Nigeria reports that the event was also attended by other notable individuals such as Chris Takar, the Deputy Secretary of the dissolved APC/PCC, Dr. Charles Silvester, and Chief (Mrs) Temitope Ajayi.
Tosin Adeyanju, the convener of the Hangout, began by announcing that 5,000 tricycles, regular wheelchairs, walkers, special walkers, crutches, and other assistive devices were prepared for distribution to people with disabilities.
This act of kindness was a testament to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s commitment to supporting vulnerable Nigerians and ensuring inclusivity in his upcoming administration.
Adeyanju expressed his gratitude to Hon. Ayuba Gufwam for generously donating the materials, describing him as a national pride, a champion of the common man, and a trusted supporter of Asiwaju’s presidential campaign and victory.
Chief (Mrs) Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, in her remarks, expressed her delight at seeing her father’s supporters gathered at the Unity Fountain for the past 45 days to celebrate democracy’s triumph in Nigeria.
She assured the attendees of a better Nigeria under her father’s leadership, emphasizing his track record of accomplishments and urging them to have confidence in what he will achieve after his inauguration on May 29.
She offered prayers for the hangout organizers and commended Hon. Ayuba for making the distributed materials available to the “special people.”
Hon. Ayuba Gufwan, in his speech, reaffirmed his unwavering support for Asiwaju in crucial sectors of society.
Dr. A. A Maiagogo, Co-Convener of the Hangouts, expressed gratitude to God for Asiwaju’s victory in the recent presidential election and for granting his supporters the opportunity to participate in the Hangouts for 45 consecutive days.
He appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience and allow the President-elect sufficient time to address the nation’s challenges effectively.
