In response to alleged reports of one of his wives, Olori Sekinat, battling for her life after undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery overseas, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, has spoken out to dismiss the claims.
The rumors were spread by blogger, Cutie Julls, who claimed that the wife of the monarch was battling for her life after the surgery went wrong.
However, in a press release issued by the palace on Monday, the royal family described the rumors as the “wicked imagination of the authors”, News About Nigeria gathered.
According to the statement, Olori Sekinat, who is the senior wife of the king, is “hale and hearty and going about her royal business”.
The palace also expressed appreciation for the concern and love shown by friends and family members of the monarch.
Furthermore, the statement revealed that legal action would be taken against anyone spreading false rumors about the royal family.
The statement reads in part:
“The palace is compelled to put the records straight and categorically deny these wicked and malicious rumors. We wish to state unequivocally that Olori Sekinat Elegushi is hale and hearty and going about her royal duties.
“The palace thanks friends and well-wishers of the royal family for their concern, love and show of support. The Palace would like to state for the records that legal action will be taken against any individual or group who circulates and peddles false rumors about the royal family.”
The statement is a clear indication of the palace’s stand on the matter and puts to rest the speculations surrounding the alleged health status of Olori Sekinat.
