The National Examination Council (NECO) has decided to postpone the entrance examination for gifted and talented children applying to the Federal Government Academy Suleja in Niger State, News About Nigeria reports.
The exam, originally scheduled for May 13, 2023, will now be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
This change in date was made in response to requests from various stakeholders to extend the registration period, allowing more candidates to participate.
Mallam Azeez Sani, the Head of the Information and Public Relation Division at NECO, explained the reason behind the rescheduling.
He stated that the purpose was to accommodate a larger number of candidates who wished to register for the examination.
It is important for all applicants, as well as their parents, guardians, and other individuals involved, to be aware of the revised examination date.
The registration process will remain open until the revised date.
The Federal Government Academy is renowned for its role in nurturing and developing the talents of gifted and talented children across Nigeria.
