Napoli has been shown the exit door by AC Milan in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final game after a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night, News About Nigeria reports.

Victor Osimhen’s netted a late equaliser for Napoli in the game but it couldn’t change much because they had suffered a 1-0 defeat to Milan last Wednesday, bringing the total goal aggregate to 2-1, in favour of AC Milan.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud, missed a penalty for the AC Milan side, just after the hour mark.
The Frenchman however gave the visitors the lead late in the first half.

Rafael Leao went on a superb solo run from the edge of his own box to the penalty area, before squaring to Giroud to tap home a simple finish.

Napoli now joins Chelsea who also suffered an even more humiliating defeat at home to Real Madrid.

The Spaniards cruised past Chelsea in a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, while the Napoli match was on. All thanks to Rodrygo, who scored the two goals.

Chelsea couldn’t outshine Carlo Ancelotti men, after a rather good performance at home.

The Blues lost to Madrid with a 4-0 goal aggregate, causing them a major setback ahead of next season.

Unlike Napoli who tops the Italian Seria A, Chelsea sits 11th in the English Premier League and from the look of things, won’t make it for next year season’s Champions League, as well as the second tier UEFA Europa League.

Real Madrid will now host the winners of the tie between Manchester City and Bayern Munich at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of their semi-final.

While, AC Milan will be the hosts in the first leg of their semi-final, where they could face either Inter or Benfica.
