Tragedy struck in Abuja, Nigeria, as a collision involving multiple vehicles claimed the lives of three individuals and left four others injured.
According to a statement from the FCT police command, SP Josephine Adeh, the victims were rushed to Kubwa General Hospital after the police responded to a distress call. The incident has sparked an investigation, with the involved vehicles secured at the local police station, News About Nigeria reports.
Unfortunately, three of the victims, Hosea Stehen, 34, of EFAB Metropolis Estate, Muhammad Lawal, 32, of Jere, Kaduna State, and Bashir Shaibu, 25, also of Jere, Kaduna State, were pronounced dead at the hospital, according to her.
She further stated that four people involved in the collision are now being treated at Kubwa General Hospital. Maria Ibeku, a 21-year-old female; Ebuka Eleodimuo, a 38-year-old male; Joy Adebayo, a 36-year-old female; and Bashir Haruna, a 25-year-old male were their names.
She stated that the victims at the hospital are from Mbouko Village, Dutse Village, and Karasana Village in Abuja.
DSP Adeh went on to say that the four automobiles involved in the accident had been safely secured at the police station. A black Toyota Camry with the registration number YAB 355 AH, a Toyota Pilot (registration number unknown), a Truck (registration number unknown), and a Tricycle with the registration number KUJ 571 VE are among them.
It is worth noting that DSS personnel from Ushafa, Abuja, took a Toyota Jeep with the registration number BWR 468 CD, believed to belong to a Department of State Security officer, from the scene. David C.Y Audu, an Ushafa native, has been identified as the vehicle’s driver.
