Bobrisky Arrested At Seme Border – VeryDarkMan

Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has claimed in an Instagram video that popular crossdresser Bobrisky has been arrested by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

According to VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky was apprehended at the Seme Border Post while trying to leave Nigeria for the Benin Republic.

This incident occurred just hours before Bobrisky was scheduled to attend a Senate panel meeting regarding allegations against him.

The arrest follows a controversy involving Bobrisky, who has been in the spotlight due to accusations stemming from a viral audio tape.

In the recording posted by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky allegedly boasted about evading prison time during a previous hearing and mentioned that a N15 million money laundering case against him was withdrawn.

He was summoned by the Nigerian House of Representatives in response to these allegations but failed to attend the session due to a reported illness.

In the Instagram video, VeryDarkMan, who previously testified before the House of Representatives alongside lawyer Deji Adeyanju, claimed that Bobrisky attempted to hide in a car while another person signed his international passport at the border.

In September, News About Nigeria reported that the House of Representatives had summoned several individuals, including the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, and the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), along with Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan.

The Joint Committees of the House decided to investigate claims made in a viral social media voice recording, in which Bobrisky allegedly confessed to paying N15 million to EFCC officials to dismiss charges of money laundering against him.

These allegations gained traction after Bobrisky, who was sentenced to six months in prison earlier this year for currency abuse, claimed he was allowed to serve his sentence in a VIP facility.

Following this, the EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale announced that Olukoyede had ordered an immediate internal investigation into the allegations.

The EFCC has also invited both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan to its Lagos Directorate to assist in the inquiry.
