Oshiomole Laments, Says Workers Suffering In Nigeria Like Never Before

Adams Oshiomhole, senator representing Edo North and former governor of Edo State, has claimed that Monday Okpebholo’s victory in the Edo State governorship election was divine intervention.

According to Oshiomhole, the election result shows God’s will, adding that anything that God cannot do does not exist.

He also described the election as a matter of choice, not a “do or die” affair.

Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, won the election with 291,667 votes, defeating his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 247,274 votes.

Oshiomhole said that the victory would bring an end to what he called “eight years of disaster” under the current administration.

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa also congratulated Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, on their victory.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, Aiyedatiwa commended the people of Edo State for making a wise choice at the polls and lauded the leadership of the APC, especially under its National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The statement read, “I want to congratulate our party, the APC, Senator Okpebholo, and Hon. Idahosa on the well-deserved victory in the just-concluded governorship election in Edo State. I join millions of our party faithful in giving glory to God for granting us a peaceful victory to reclaim Edo into the fold of the progressives, where it rightfully belongs.”

Aiyedatiwa, who served as Chairman of the APC’s Election Planning and Strategy Committee for the Edo election, also thanked President Bola Tinubu for ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful election in the state.

He expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s vision for transforming governance in Edo and commended the national and state campaign committees for their efforts in securing the victory.
