The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, has lauded the Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, over his performance in his first 100 days in office, News About Nigeria reports.
While commending the governor, the SGF encouraged him to continue on that path, as he is on the right track.
Akume, who said this when he received Ododo in his office in Abuja, also charged the governor to be focused and ignore unwise criticisms intended to distract him.
He further noted that he is impressed with the governor’s work so far, adding that his drive and a positive disposition to prioritise the welfare of the people of the state are the hallmarks of good governance.
The SGF wished Ododo well, praying that God would be with him throughout his tenure as Kogi state governor.
Akume said, “Do not be distracted by criticisms because you have started remarkably well and I am sure you will continue this way till the end of your tenure in office. May God be with you.”
On his part, the Kogi State Governor appreciated Akume for his support since he assumed office as governor.
He described the SGF as a patriot whose record of achievements in public office is worthy of emulation by the younger generation.
Ododo also solicited the continuous support of Akume towards building Kogi State, noting that he believes that such support for his administration would be able to build the Kogi of their dreams and also fulfil the promises they made to the people.
