Fatai Odunsi, father of popular Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has shared that his son has promised to buy him a house, cover his medical expenses, and take care of his daughter.
Odunsi, also called Malo, has been struggling with health issues after suffering a stroke.
A viral video showed him asking Nigerians to appeal to Asake for help, as he had not been able to pay his medical bills.
Following the outcry, Odunsi revealed that Asake had responded positively to his plea.
In an interview monitored by News About Nigeria, Odunsi expressed joy, saying the singer had started making arrangements to fulfill his promises.
He also explained that his frustration came from not seeing Asake for a long time, but they have now reconciled.
Meanwhile, a woman named Adijat, who claimed to be Asake’s baby mama, has accused the singer of neglecting their 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.
She alleged that Asake blocked her after he became famous, making it difficult for her to reach him.
She stated that although he once sent money, he has not been consistent in his support.
Odunsi confirmed that Asake has now agreed to take responsibility for the child.
He insisted that the singer never denied fathering Zeenat and assured that he would now take care of her.
Asake faced criticism over the weekend as social media users reacted to claims that he had abandoned his ailing father.
Many in the Isale Eko area of Lagos also expressed disappointment over the situation.
However, following Odunsi’s latest statement, online reactions have shifted, with many praising Asake for deciding to support his family.
