Portable Urges Bobrisky To ‘Repent’ Amid Ongoing Controversy

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Abeokuta for allegedly assaulting government officials.

News About Nigeria understands that he turned himself in at the Lagos Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) on Wednesday after being declared wanted by the Ogun Command.

After surrendering, authorities later transferred him to the Ogun State police headquarters in Abeokuta.

The court charged him with conspiracy, assault, illegal restriction, and possession of weapons, including cutlasses and guns.

He pleaded not guilty.

Nine of his aides faced similar charges for allegedly attacking town planners while they were on duty at Odogwu Bar, a property owned by Portable.

The planners, identified as Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero, were reportedly obstructed and assaulted.

His lawyer, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, requested bail, stating that the singer was remorseful.

The court granted bail at ₦2 million with one surety in the same amount.

The trial is set for March 5.

Recall that Portable took to social media, claiming he was being targeted because he wore a vest featuring Senator Adeola Solomon, also known as Yayi.

He further stated that he has a patient card at Aro Hospital, confirming his ongoing psychiatric treatment.

He said, “I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I’m a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients.

“I am from Abeokuta and they are taking care of me there. I am not a thief, I help people around me without even looking at their background.”
