News About Nigeria gathered that the 21-year-old Hammayo graduated with a 3.96 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) on a 4.0 scale to bag a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics.

The Chancellor of the university located in Abuja, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, announced the prize at the university’s 11th convocation.

The politician also announced prizes for the two best-graduating students at the postgraduate school who completed their master’s degrees with a perfect 5.0 CGPA.

“For postgraduates, I think the best I can do is to offer them either a full tuition-free PhD opportunity in Baze or a job opportunity in Baze (university),” he said.

Speaking on their achievements, Datti lauded the students for their remarkable feats, urging them to continue to give their best in all their future endeavours.

He also counselled Hammayo to maximize the award by investing in not just his further studies but also in other businesses that could give him more returns.

Baba-Ahmed also stated that the university is saddled with the responsibility of raising people who would become the best in their various fields.

He also revealed that the idea of the university was first conceived 28 years ago but was founded 16 years ago in 2011 and has since produced 4,021 students in 10 convocations.

Baba-Ahmed further states that the university’s programmes are designed to be both research-intensive and market-responsive, “reflecting our commitment to addressing the evolving needs of local and global communities.”
