Afrobeats musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or Tuface, has been appointed as a brand ambassador for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in partnership with the Presidency to drive job creation initiatives.

This was announced by Mr. Tola Adekunle-Johnson, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, on Friday in Abuja.

Johnson noted that the partnership is led by the Job Creation and MSMEs Secretariat in the Office of the Vice President to build public support for the MSMEs sector.

He expressed confidence that Tuface’s role as a brand ambassador will help elevate initiatives under the National MSMEs Awards, as well as promote the Expanded National MSMEs Clinics and the Shared Hubs for MSMEs Initiative. These efforts aim to boost job creation, especially for Nigeria’s youth.

Johnson also shared his belief that Tuface’s influence and goodwill will encourage greater public participation in programs dedicated to job creation and business support.

He stated, “We thought of how best we can sustain the momentum of creating jobs and promoting all MSME activities, including awards, hubs, and single-digit loans. In trying to consistently promote this, we looked at interests relevant to our target audience, and you’ll agree that the entertainment industry is one of them.

“Today, we’re unveiling an icon, a legend in the creative industry, Mr. Innocent Idibia (Tuface), a consistent and highly creative individual.”

Johnson believes the partnership with Tuface will inspire private-sector support for public-sector initiatives focused on job creation and business development.

Tuface, in response, expressed his enthusiasm to get to work, promising to increase awareness around MSMEs, particularly among the youth.

He commended the government for its dedication to supporting young people and small businesses.

News About Nigeria reports that the singer and songwriter, regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nigerian music, has served as a brand ambassador for several prominent brands, including Guinness, NAFDAC, the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Airtel Nigeria, and Globacom.

All eyes are now on Tuface to see how his role will impact the MSMEs sector and drive meaningful change in job creation.
