Buhari Sympathises With Kyari Over Daughter’s Death

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathised with the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, over the tragic loss of his daughter, Fatima, News About Nigeria reports. 

The former president expressed his heartfelt sympathy to Kyari in a statement issued on Saturday by his media aide, Garba Shehu.

He stated that he is shocked and pained by the death of Kyari’s daughter, adding that she was loved and cherished by her family and friends.

He consoled him and prayed for the fortitude to hear the loss, stating that Allah knows best.

He stated, “I am shocked and deeply pained to learn about the passing away of your daughter, Fatima.

“It is very painful to accept that she has left the world at such a tender age, but Allah, who gave her to you, knows best.

“My deepest and most heartfelt condolences are with your family in this hour of intense grief.”

Recall that Kyari list his daughter on Friday after a protracted illness at the age of 25.

The 24-year-old has since been buried in Abuja according to Islamic rights.

Her death was disclosed in a condolence message by a former aide of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad.

Similarly, Vice President Kashim Shettima also extended his sympathy to the bereaved family.

In his message, Shettima prayed for the repose of the deceased and asked God to grant the family strength during this challenging time, acknowledging the painful loss of their daughter, who was in the prime of her life.
