"I'll Continue To Fight Alongside Tinubu," - Sacked Women Affairs Minister

The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has asked Nigerians to be patient with the President Bola Tinubu-led government on the grounds that they are not behind the current economic hardship.

According to her, this is because things were already bad before President Tinubu took over from former President Muhammadu Buhari.

News About Nigeria reports that the Minister made the plea at a charitable event in Awka, the Anambra State capital, where she distributed relief items to support the less privileged. The distribution included 5,000 bags of 10 kg rice, 300 gas cylinders, and 500 bags of 50 kg fertilisers, aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by vulnerable families in the community.

Speaking during the outreach to the needy, Ohanenye acknowledged the tough times many Nigerians are facing, and assured them that the government is working tirelessly towards ensuring that they improve the situation.

The Minister while expressing confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and commitment to transforming the country for the better, tasked the people to give the President a few months to be able to clear the mess left behind by the previous administration.

She said, “I plead with you to be patient with the president. He is doing everything to change the negative practices that have crippled the nation’s economy. Just give the president time; in the next few months, things will begin to improve. He needs time to clean up the mess left by previous administrations. Honestly, things were bad before President Tinubu took office, and he is working hard to bring happiness to Nigerians.”
