The Progressive Governors’ Forum has extended a warm welcome to Monday Okpebholo, the newly elected governor of Edo State, as its newest member, News About Nigeria reports.

The forum also extended their heartfelt congratulations to Senator Okpebholo on his victory in the Edo State governorship election.

The congratulatory message was made in a statement by the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, on Monday.

In the statement, Uzodimma lauded Okpebholo on his resounding win, describing it as a testament to the trust and confidence the people of Edo State have placed in the vision of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Imo State Governor also appreciated the people of Edo State for voting for Okpebholo and the APC.

He assured them of his confidence in Okpebholo, noting that he was sure of the governor-elect’s ability to deliver his promises to the people of the state.

The statement partly reads, “On behalf of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Progressive Governors’ Forum, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo on his resounding victory as the Governor-elect of Edo State. By giving their mandate to the APC, the Edo people have reaffirmed their belief in our vision and commitment to delivering sustainable development and progress.

“This victory is not just a win for our party, but for the entire State and the Nation as we continue to strive for a better and more progressive Nigeria.”

Uzodimma wished the governor-elect the best as he began the journey of piloting the affairs of Edo State.
