CBN Announces New Keystone Bank Board Of Directors

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has unveiled a new board of directors for Keystone Bank.

News About Nigeria reports that the development was announced in a statement from the Keystone Bank on Wednesday as part of the apex bank’s strategic plan.

In the statement, Ada Chukwudozie has been appointed as the new board chairman, alongside five other non-executive directors

Chukwudozie, the newly appointed board chairman, is joined by five non-executive directors: Abdul-Rahman Esene, Mrs. Fola Akande, Akintola Ayodeji Olusoji, Obijiaku Samuel, and Senator Farouk Bello.

Furthermore, the CBN appointed two executive directors: Ladi Oluwole and Abubakar Usman Bello.

Ladi Oluwole brings expertise in risk management, having served as Executive Director of risk management at Keystone Bank.

Hassan Imam, Keystone Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, expressed optimism about the new board members, citing their wealth of experience as crucial to the bank’s repositioning and growth.

“We are pleased to welcome the new chairman, non-executive directors, and executive directors to the board of Keystone Bank.

“We are confident that their extensive experience will be invaluable as we continue to reposition the bank to seize emerging economic opportunities while maintaining strong corporate governance and providing our customers with a secure and reliable banking experience,” Imam said.

In a different development, the presidency said that President Bola Tinubu has not asked Yemi Cardoso to resign from his position as the Governor of the CBN.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said this in a statement, debunking reports that Tinubu ordered Cardoso’s resignation.

“It’s all lies. President Tinubu has not asked Yemi Cardoso to resign,” Onanuga said.
