Sexual Abuse: Sean 'Diddy' Combs Arrested In New York

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, has been arrested on unspecified federal charges while under investigation for multiple allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking.

News About Nigeria gathered that the arrest occurred at the Park Hyatt hotel in New York.

Diddy has denied all accusations against him.

Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s attorney, said he was disappointed with the arrest, calling it an “unjust prosecution.”

In a statement to TMZ, Agnifilo said, “Mr. Combs is an imperfect person but not a criminal. He has cooperated fully with the investigation and relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges. We ask the public to withhold judgement until all facts are revealed.”

Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, confirmed the arrest in a statement, noting that the charges are based on a sealed indictment, which will be unsealed on Tuesday.

Diddy’s legal troubles have been mounting over the past year.

In November 2023, his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape, physical abuse, and violent behaviour over a decade-long relationship.

The lawsuit, which was quickly settled, included claims that Ventura endured years of mistreatment, including an alleged rape in her home.

Several other women have since come forward with their own accusations of abuse and assault.

In addition to Ventura’s claims, Diddy is also facing allegations of sex trafficking and the abuse of an underage girl.

Former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard recently filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of “manipulating” female artists, while another former bandmate, Kalenna Harper, has denied witnessing any abuse.

Further accusations include a 1995 claim by April Lampros, who alleges that Combs sexually assaulted her in a hotel room after forcing her to consume alcohol and drugs.

Another woman, Crystal McKinney, has accused him of coercing her into performing a sex act in exchange for a promised career boost in 2003.

Diddy has consistently denied all allegations, previously stating, “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.”
