APC Candidate Promises Inclusive Governance In Edo State

Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming governorship election, has promised to serve the entire Edo populace.

News About Nigeria reports that he made this pledge while speaking at the ward-to-ward governorship campaign in Iguobazuwa, Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed September 21 for the Edo state governorship election.

Okpebholo vowed to ensure government presence is felt across the state.

He said, “If I become the governor, I will not be governor of Edo Central but governor for all Edo people and government presence will be felt across the state.

“I assure you all that our government will end all the pains that have been inflicted on the people of Edo State,” he assured.

Dennis Idahosa, another governorship candidate, urged the people of Ovia to support the APC, adding that other political leaders in Ovia have joined the party.

Also speaking, former House of Representatives member Omosede Igbinedion told the people of Ovia South West to vote APC on September 21.

She said, “I am now with my brother Dennis Idahosa in APC, so make sure you vote APC on September 21 to deliver Okpebholo as governor,” she stated.

At Ugbogui, former governor Adams Oshiomhole expressed confidence in the community’s support.

He said, “I came to present our candidate to you people today, I know you people will come out and vote for APC on September 21.

“You all know Dennis Idahosa and voted for him twice before, so this time you have to give them your votes again.”
