Edo Governorship: APC's Okpebholo Promises Interest-Free Loans, Development

Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC’s governorship candidate in Edo State, has vowed to provide interest-free loans to traders if elected governor on September 21.

News About Nigeria reports that he made this promise while campaigning at Cook Road, Benin City, where he acknowledged the significance of traders in economic development.

Okpebholo emphasised his commitment to working for the people of Edo and not mismanaging their funds, urging them to vote for APC to benefit from his planned programmes.

Matthew Urhoghide, Director General of the APC Campaign Council, introduced Okpebholo to the traders, assuring them that he would fulfil his promises and improve their lives.

Nonso Ibeh, President of the New Building Materials Sellers Association, expressed gratitude for Senator Urhoghide’s support and requested help in building their secretariat on the donated land.

Okpebholo also campaigned in Idumu Ewase Community, urging residents to reject the PDP’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo, who he claimed would emulate Governor Obaseki’s style.

Instead, Okpebholo promised to deliver democratic dividends if elected, emphasising the importance of voting for APC on September 21.

Nonso added, “We pray that when you are elected, you will help us to build our secretariat, for which we have been given a parcel of land by the late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa 11.

Also, speaking to people in Idumu Ewase Community in Isihuhe Street, off Mission Road, Benin, Okpebholo urged the residents not to vote for the PDP as Asue Ighodalo would behave like his godfather, Governor Obaseki.

He added, “Vote for APC on September 21, and I will make sure I deliver dividends of democracy,” he assured.
