Bwala To Okpebholo: Edo People Deserve Better, Share Your Policies On TV

Daniel Bwala, a former aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has expressed disappointment with Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) Edo governorship candidate, over his recent remarks.

News About Nigeria reports that Bwala, in a post on Thursday, asked Okpebholo to invite a TV house of his choice and discuss his policies in the language of his choice.

Bwala described Okpebholo’s claim that he won’t appear on Arise TV due to Edo residents’ limited access to satellite TV as unacceptable

Bwala advised Okpebholo to select a broadcasting station and share his vision in the language of his choice.

He stressed that Edo is an economically thriving state with a decent standard of living, and its people deserve better.

The post read, “APC governorship campaign in Edo has to do more; So far the narrative is ineffective. For a stakeholder to say the governorship candidate will not go to Arise TV because Edo people can’t afford DSTV is shameful and regrettable

“The simple answer could have been to say that the candidate will visit the network station of his choice and appear there for an interview.

“Edo is a rich state with reasonable economic standards; and definitely not among the states bankrupt to the point the people can’t afford DSTV. Haba!

“I will advise Mr Monday Okpebholo to invite a TV house of his choice and convenience, in a convenient location at his expense, and discuss his policies in the language of his choice.

“English language is not a test of intelligence; French, Germans, Italians and Spanish people don’t speak English and they govern their countries well; Edo people deserve more.”
