Moghalu Officially Exits APC, Cites Personal Reasons

Former Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George Moghalu, has officially parted ways with the party, citing personal reasons for his departure.

News About Nigeria reports that the move, which had been the subject of widespread speculation for months, was confirmed on Tuesday.

The founding member and former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), submitted his resignation in a letter addressed to the APC Chairman of Uruagu Ward 1, Nnewi, Anambra State.

The letter, dated August 26, 2024, was also sent to the Local Government Area and State Chairmen of the party.

In his brief yet pointed letter, Moghalu expressed his gratitude to the party and his colleagues, stressing that the decision was a personal one.

He said he hoped that the relationships he had built within the party would remain intact despite his departure.

“I wish you and all the members of the party the very best,” Moghalu wrote, concluding his letter with warm regards
