The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the launch of online portals for school recognition and the submission of continuous assessment scores (CASS) for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

In a statement released late Monday, Mr. A. Adebolu, the Head of Exams at the WAEC Branch Controller, detailed the timelines and procedures for the upcoming examination cycle.

News About Nigeria reports that the announcement, referenced in BN/ZC/MOE/15/VOL.2/139, was directed to all school principals and carries the title “WASSCE (SC) 2025: OPENING OF ONLINE PORTALS FOR SCHOOL RECOGNITION AND UPLOAD OF CASS 1 & 2.”

According to the statement, the portal for school recognition will be open from September 2 to December 13, 2024.

This allows new schools to complete their recognition process to be eligible for the 2025 WASSCE.

Schools are advised to make the required payments and finalise their applications within this timeframe.

Additionally, the portal for uploading CASS 1 & 2 data will be accessible from September 2 to December 20, 2024.

Schools are urged to ensure that all assessment data is uploaded before the deadline, as the portal will close at midnight on the specified dates.

The statement stressed that no further submissions will be accepted once the portals close.

“The CASS upload portal for CASS 1 & 2 will be open from 2 September to 20 December 2024.

“Consequently, all schools presenting candidates for WASSCE (SC) 2025 are urged to upload their CASS 1 & 2 data before the closing date.”

“Please note that the portals will close at midnight on the due dates, and no further requests will be entertained after the closure,” the statement read.
