Pastor Abel Damina Criticises Jerry Eze’s “What God Cannot Do Doesn’t Exist”

Controversial Nigerian preacher Pastor Abel Damina has claimed that the well-known Christian catchphrase, “What God cannot do doesn’t exist,” which is most frequently used by Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy International, is untrue, News About Nigeria reports.

While condemning the recent miracle of a child walking out of a wheelchair in the just concluded United Kingdom prayer convention held by Pastor Jerry Eze, Damina noted that he was not jealous of him.

In a teaser for the upcoming episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Damina explained that though he believes in miracles, most preachers usually arrange theirs.

In the short clip shared by Nedu, the host of the podcast, he added that most of those who claimed to have been delivered from wheelchairs or from using crutches usually have the same kind, alleging that the churches are the ones that provide it for them.

The preacher and father of three further noted that when he started ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomie was not yet ‘born again’ as he was still in Celestial Church.

He said, “What God cannot do does not exist is not the truth. People think that I am jealous of Jerry Eze. It is not about sentiments, it is about knowing what the truth is. I believe in miracles, I believe in healing, but not this ‘arrangee’ that we are seeing today. Most of those crutches are the same.

Speaking further, the preacher also condemned tithing, noting that it was not biblical.

“Why are you asking for tithes? If you read the Book of Acts, nobody paid tithes to anybody; Jesus didn’t pay tithes; Jesus didn’t receive tithes,” he stated.

Going deeper into how pastors handle finances in church, the preacher claimed that most of them call for different kinds of giving to enrich themselves.

He noted that he was once there and was going down the path of ‘prosperity gospel’ before he realised that it was not in line with God’s word.
