Billionaire Adeleke Announces Completion Of $2 Billion Power Plant By January 2025

Adedeji Adeleke, the father of Afrobeat star Davido, has made a huge donation of N1 billion to the Centenary Endowment Fund of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church in Lagos, News About Nigeria reports.

The announcement was made during a special thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the church’s headquarters, in memory of Adeleke’s late mother, Esther Adeleke.

In his address, Adeleke revealed that the contribution was made to honour his mother, who was a respected figure within the C&S Church.

“On behalf of our late mother, Senior Mother in Israel, the late Mrs. Esther Adeleke, we want to contribute the sum of N1 billion to the centenary endowment fund,” he stated.

Esther Adeleke, originally from Akwete in the Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, was the founder of a C&S church in Ede, Osun State.

She held the esteemed title of Senior Mother-in-Israel, a role now carried on by her daughter, Modupe Adeleke-Sanni.

In related news, Adeleke, who is the founder of Adeleke University and chairman of Pacific Energy Company, announced a special initiative for first-class degree graduates in engineering from the institution.

During the university’s 10th undergraduate and 6th postgraduate convocation in June, Dr. Adeleke revealed that top-performing students would have the opportunity to serve at Pacific Energy’s plants for their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and would be guaranteed employment afterward.

Addressing the graduates, Dr. Adeleke stressed the importance of academic achievement and supporting talented individuals as they transition from university to professional life.

He encouraged the graduates to seek NYSC postings in Ogun or Ondo State, where the power plants are located, assuring them of a job after their service year.
