Nigerian singer Ayra Starr was recently seen with global superstar Rihanna at the Crop Over festival in Barbados, News About Nigeria reports.
Photos from the event show the two artistes enjoying the festivities together in the same carnival booth.
Crop Over is a traditional harvest festival in Barbados, spanning three months from June to early August.
It culminates in a grand carnival parade known as Kadooment Day. The festival celebrates Barbadian music, arts, food, and culture.
This is not the first time Ayra Starr has met Rihanna.
The MAVIN Records signee first met the Fenty mogul in London in April at a Fenty show.
A video of their interaction went viral, capturing Ayraâs excitement as she chatted with Rihanna.
During their conversation, Ayra said she loves Barbados, calling it her favourite place in the world.
Rihanna responded by sharing how she discovered the 21-year-old Nigerian singer.
Rihanna even asked Ayra if she had collaborated with fellow Nigerian artist Tems and suggested they work together.
She also invited Ayra to reach out to her for a future collaboration.
In a chat with BuzzFeed after their first meeting, Ayra Starr said she was amazed at the fact that Rihanna knew her music.
âMy biggest celeb story is Rihanna. I met Rihanna about two weeks ago at the Authentic Woman event in London. It was amazing; I got to meet Rihanna. Do you know how crazy that is? And she loves me, she knew meâthat was the most amazing part of it,â Ayra Starr said.
