The Presidency has announced that President Bola Tinubu will deliver a national address on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
News About Nigeria reports that this is contained in a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, on Saturday.
The broadcast is scheduled to take place at 7:00 am and will be transmitted across various media platforms.
To ensure widespread coverage, the statement encouraged television and radio stations to connect to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
This will enable them to carry the President’s address live.
In addition to the initial broadcast, the address will be rebroadcast on the NTA and FRCN networks at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day. This will provide multiple opportunities for citizens to hear the President’s message.
It is expected that the President’s address will be a significant event, and the government is taking steps to ensure that it reaches a wide audience.
By utilising the network services of the NTA and FRCN, the broadcast will be able to reach millions of Nigerians across the country.
The President’s address is likely to cover important national issues and provide guidance on the government’s plans and policies.
It is an opportunity for the President to communicate directly with the citizens and provide leadership during these challenging times.
Protesters have continued to hit the streets in Lagos, Oyo, Abuja, and other states as they call for, among others, the reversal of fuel subsidy removal and the skyrocketing price of goods and services in the country.
The ‘End Hunger’ protest has, however, been marred with reported lootings by hoodlums in Kano and other northern regions with the police going after the culprits to recover some items.
