Enugu Governor Approves N80,000 Minimum Wage For State Workers

On Monday, the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, sacked the Chairperson of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Gabriel Ajah.

Ajah’s sack was made public by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Communication, Aka Aka.

Speaking to newsmen about the sack, Aka, who did not divulge the reason why Ajah’s appointment was terminated, said there was a “minor” reshuffle in the board.

He further revealed that Ajah has been replaced by Hyginus Bankho, a board member.

The Commissioner also disclosed that another board member, Amaka Ngene, has been moved to the Science, Technical, and Vocational Schools Management Board as the chairperson.

Similarly, News About Nigeria reported that the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, sacked the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, containing Alli’s sack, the termination of his appointment begins with immediate effect.

The state government also directed Alli to hand over all government documents and resources in his possession to the most senior civil servant within the ministry.

The statement reads, “The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has approved the disengagement of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, with immediate effect. He is to hand over all government documents and resources in his possession to the most senior civil servant within the Ministry of Health.

“The government thanks him for his service and wishes him well in his future endeavours. The governor is resolute on his finishing strong objective and will remove any obstacles that may hinder optimal service delivery to the people in the remaining four months of his administration.”
